Sustainability
WE CARE ABOUT OUR IMPACT ON THE PLANET AND WE WANT TO WORK WITH PEOPLE WHO CARE TOO.
WE HELP ORGANISATIONS WHO SUPPORT ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEIR AUDIENCE.
WE MEASURE THE CARBON FOOTPRINT OF EVERY PROJECT WE WORK ON SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO.
To claim Net Zero, a company has to demonstrate a 90% reduction in Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. We are part of the Scope 3 (value chain) emissions for all of our clients. We can help you measure and reduce your Scope 3 emissions.
We have recently hired a sustainability coordinator to oversee our sustainability plan
We donate 1% of our total annual sales to grassroots environmental organisations through the 1% For The Planet Scheme
We donate at least one project annually to a Scottish grassroots environmental organisation to help them with marketing, funding, and communicating their work
We offer at least three 50% subsidised campaigns annually to environmental charities or organisations
We have started measuring the carbon footprint of our projects and scope 1 and 2 of our business operations, and will identify areas to reduce these emissions
We minimise waste by recycling in our office, and using paperless systems for all our documents
Our JHP Visuals workwear is made from recycled material and Fair Wear
We strongly encourage all our employees to travel to the office by active travel and public transport. We are also signed up to the Cycle to Work scheme.
We will only use air travel as a last resort and will endeavour to minimise air miles at every opportunity
We monitor our energy use and identify areas to reduce use
We are on a journey towards Net Zero
We are committed to monitoring and reducing our impact on the environment.
We believe in honesty, transparency, and the power of storytelling to communicate the effects that climate change has on Scotland and around the world. One of the key pillars of our business is to use our resources to share environmental stories to influence and engage audiences on environmental issues.
1% For The Planet
In 2021, we joined 1% for the Planet and pledged 1% of our annual turnover to support local environmental projects.
Since then, we’ve funded impactful initiatives like Plastic@Bay in Scotland, aiding beach clean-ups and plastic recycling efforts, and the WashHouse Garden in Glasgow, helping transform urban spaces into vibrant community gardens, growing local sustainable food. Through these partnerships, we’re proud to support grassroots environmental change across the country.

Why is sustainability important to us?
Our planet is a special place that we need to look after. We are in a Climate and Nature Crisis and have seen first-hand the impacts that this is having on the amazing spaces we conduct our work in.
