Jimmy Hyland is a photographer and film maker with a reputation for creating compelling, cinematic and true to form still and moving images for commercial and editorial clients. He has worked for companies such as RedBull Adventure, Ourea Events and Castore Sportswear as well as having images featured in The Guardian, The Times, The Scottish Times, The Evening Standard, Mens Running, Outdoor Fitness, SUP M, Descent Magazine and a cover shot on Mountain Rescue Magazine to name a few.
As a filmmaker Jimmy’s background and love for the outdoor and adventure world gives him a unique perspective to bring to his storytelling and commercial film making. He has worked for a growing list of commercial clients and has had a number of films play at film festivals across the globe. These include his film MOHON, which went on to win the Spirit Of Adventure Silver Award at the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival in 2017.
Based in the Peak District, UK, Jimmy developed his skills as a photographer and a film maker in the hills and caves that the area is famous for. When not shooting content for clients he spends his time Climbing, Caving or Running, usually with a camera in hand.
